Renewable Energy
2025-04-21
The renewable energy industry uses technologies such as solar energy, wind farms, hydropower, tidal energy, and biofuels to generate electricity, greatly reducing its impact on the environment compared to traditional power generation infrastructure. This green revolution is accelerating, shifting from niche, low yield, or experimental stages to a highly respected and established component of the UK's power generation structure.
Our company's cable series for the renewable energy industry is specifically designed to facilitate the interconnection of equipment and private power grids before connecting to the national power infrastructure.
Our product line includes H1Z2Z2-K solar photovoltaic cables designed specifically for connecting solar panels (compliant with EN-50618), as well as more general power cables for networks, and low voltage level three (BS, UL, CSA) cables for control and monitoring applications.
Medium voltage cable
Typically, our IEC 60502-2 medium voltage cables (armored and unarmored variants) are used for the primary connection between renewable energy generation technologies and the main grid. The manufacturing of armored cables complies with British standard BS6622 (PVC sheath) or British standard BS7835 (low smoke halogen-free sheath). The configuration of non armored cables includes single-layer or double-layer waterproof layers, as well as copper or aluminum conductors.
Solar cable
EN 50618 H1Z2Z2-K cables and connectors are used to connect solar photovoltaic panels to the distribution network. H1Z2Z2 was launched in 2014 and is currently the industry's European standard.
Wind turbine
Our company can provide various cables to meet the specifications required for any interconnection within the wind farm complex. The factors to be considered in such specifications include resistance to torsional and bending stresses caused by constant motion, number of cores, and cable structure required in the control system.
waterpower
In hydroelectric applications, such as dams, cables typically need to withstand complete or partial immersion in water at different depths. Our company can provide cables such as H07RN-8-F suitable for installation in shallow water areas, as well as cables suitable for deep-sea environments.
Biomass facilities and factories
The production of biofuels or biomass energy facilities from agricultural by-products requires a combination of low and medium voltage power cables. Our company can provide cables suitable for any application within such factories, such as H07RN-F and H07ZZ-F (LSZH) rubber flexible cables commonly used for generator interconnection.
